Stephen Edger

Stephen Edger is the bestselling author of UK based psychological and crime thrillers, including Snatched, and the Kate Matthews series. Born in the north-east of England, he now lives in Southampton where many of his stories are set, allowing him to use his insider knowledge to deliver realistic and unsettling suspense on every page.

In 2024 he was formally diagnosed with both Autism and ADHD, and he believes the wiring of his unique mind is what allows him to write three books per year, despite a full-time job and young family. He is a vocal advocate of neurodivergent acceptance, regularly posting about the challenges of living in a neurotypical world through his social media channels and TikTok.

Away from writing, he is a huge film buff with an encyclopaedic knowledge of actors and directors from the 1980s and 1990s. He enjoys walking his dogs (though not in the rain), cooking, and plotting future projects.

Stephen also writes standalone psychological thrillers as "M. A. Hunter".
