Besides four decades of writing fiction, John C. Boland has worked as a Senior Editor of Barron’s Financial Weekly, contributed to the Sunday New York Times and the editorial page of The Wall Street Journal, and run a profitable hedge fund. He is the author of what Market Logic called “the best book ever written on insider trading”— Wall Street’s Insiders (Morrow).

Boland's short stories, which have appeared in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine since 1976, have been nominated for Edgar, Shamus, Derringer and International Thriller Writers awards. His web site is www.JohnCBoland.com.

His novels, mostly mysteries, have been published since 1991 by St. Martin's Press, Pocket Books and Perfect Crime Books, of the last of which he is—not at all coincidentally—owner and publisher. Perfect Crime's web site is www.PerfectCrimeBooks.com. John writes fiction under a couple of other thin guises, as James L. Ross and Max Gersh.
