Heather Ferrier

Since qualifying as a teacher in 1964, Heather Ferrier has made her home in the north west, in Greater Manchester.

Her first novel, Just A Silver Thimble, came about as a result of delving into old family documents relating to her mysterious grandfather. In 2012, her next book, The Boy Who Vanished, saw her short listed and highly commended in the Good Housekeeping novel competition which was championing new literary talent. That second novel called for a sequel and Free Passage, Heather's latest book, fulfils that need.
