Judith Jones Muchowski

I was born in Francistown, Botswana, and lived there, and later in Zambia and Zimbabwe until the age of 20. Since then I have lived in London England, Ottawa, Montreal, Mexico City, and Northern California. In 2005, my husband Joe and I returned to Canada where we now live in West Kelowna in the beautiful Okanagan valley, British Columbia. We have three children and eight grandchildren who all live in California, and who are the first readers of my stories, and provide valuable feedback.

While living in California, I worked as a Technical Writer in the computer industry. Now retired, I devote my time to writing children's stories. The idea for my first book "You're From WHERE, Grandma?" came to me when Lauren, our first grandchild, met the mailman one day and excitedly told him "Did you know my Grandma was born in AFRICA?"

My second and third children's books are also based in Africa. They are about mischievous little Kiki, a tiny African bushbaby (nagapie) who has been orphaned in a storm, and her little brother Obi, who are befriended by Jojo, a young African boy.
