Since graduating from college, Anne Ott has been writing professionally as a newspaper reporter and freelance writer for a variety of publications. Her first love, however, has always been fiction. She has taken graduate courses in writing at Purdue University and the University of Memphis and participated in juried writing workshops at the Hindman Settlement School and Western Kentucky University. The Windswept series grew out of a desire to portray strong female and male characters whose family relationships are grounded in respect, love, and community. She is fascinated by the multi-faceted complexities of intimate relationships and enjoys watching characters develop and unfold. Anne lives in Indiana with her husband, two children, and standard poodle.
