Welcome to my Amazon author page!

Most authors are also avid readers, and I'm no exception. When I was young, my parents took us every week to a small library in a nearby town. I remember climbing well-worn stone steps to the second floor where I would immediately head to the small science fiction section to see if I could find any new Tom Corbett, Space Cadet books, or if I was really lucky, someone would have returned a Tom Swift Jr. book I hadn't read. From there I graduated to the classics: Asimov, Bradbury, Heinlein, Clark, Card, Farmer, Herbert, Anderson, et al. I admired every one of them.

Today, my home is filled with first editions, leather-bound, gold-edged collections, and enough paperbacks for them to become a fire hazard. The thought that in the wake of the great digital wave my precious, science fiction books are fast becoming archaic , that upon my death they'll probably be discarded makes me sad. But I understand.

A little about myself. Creative expression has always been central to my life. I trained to become an architect, but joined my family's film and video production business so I could be intimately involved in that creative process. Being technically minded, however, (and a bit of a nerd), I found myself knee deep in the engineering and equipment side of the business. So my creative outlet became my writing.

When I'm not at the computer creating new worlds or heros, I can probably be found underwater. I've been SCUBA diving for over 40 years. If I'm not underwater or writing, I might be riding my Harley or in a corner of the basement making jewelry or Japanese puzzle boxes. So much to do, so little time.
