Mario Theodorou

Mario is an award-winning screenwriter, director, and novelist whose eclectic work spans comedy, drama, and historical fiction.

Selected for the prestigious BBC Drama Room and Drama Writer’s Programme, and named on the BBC’s Hotlist of 200 emerging talents, Mario has created original commissions for BBC Drama, BBC Radio 4, and Sky, while collaborating with the BFI and top production companies on feature films.

His acclaimed short films - Anonymous, Echo, and The Gifted Hypothesis- have garnered awards and nominations at Oscar, BAFTA, and BIFA-qualifying festivals, including winning Best Drama at Cannes Shorts.

As an accomplished novelist, Mario has signed a multi-book publishing deal for his historical fiction series, Felix Grey. A proud BAFTA member, he continues to expand his diverse portfolio of work across film, television, and literature.
