John Highbarger is a retired business consultant. After a 30 year career, he retired from his position as Global Managing Partner in a strategy practice of one of the world's largest consulting firms and was asked to teach at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. He teaches two senior level electives.
John retired from a career he loved because the 500,000 miles a year eventually got to him. During his career, he visited every major business capital of the world, and a lot of places no one every heard of. In retirement, in addition to his teaching, he enjoys: the Texas Longhorns, work for the less fortunate, cruising, traveling on his schedule, and is now writing non-fiction and fiction.
He once had a shoot-out with the Cisco Kid. Fortunately, no one was injured.
