After taking photographs from the coast of California to the heights of the Himalaya Mountains over a period of many years the best photo opportunity showed up in my own backyard. I was so surprized I said "This must become a book!" And it has: "The Mystery at the Birdfeeder". Another surprize became "The Deer with the Purple Nose" which should be available 2013. Didn't give up on my day job, but am working on books 3 & 4 in the series. All photographs. Reading level is about 3rd grade so children 4th grade and younger appreciate the story; and children of all ages love the photographs...especially birders! In this backyard bird series the English Setters, Rusty & Purdy, ask the birds for help solving mysteries. Only Purdy shows up in "The Mystery at the Birdfeeder"; but Rusty joins Purdy to solve the mystery of the purple nose in "The Deer with the Purple Nose".
