In 2000 she found a way to combine her love of writing and psychology, through the medium of film, and started her own film production company. She went on to write and produce the award-winning feature film, 'Oil on Water', which was based on her novel of the same name, published in 2008. In the same year, she began writing a children's book series, 'Animal Adventures in Africa', which was launched in 2008. There are currently three books in the series - 'An Elephants' Tail', 'Serengeti Safari' and 'Wild Child'. Besides being an author, Elle is also the producer for her eco-friendly film production company, Green Shoot Films, and the founder of a non-profit organisation promoting literacy and conservation awareness in children - the PawPrint Africa Project.
