Laura Browning graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Journalism mainly because a wise person, namely her father, suggested Journalism might be a steadier income than trying to write romance. She has worked in television markets in Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, and North Carolina. In 2001, she won a Regional Emmy for her work writing and producing.
In 2005 she took on a new challenge, teaching English at the middle and high school level. She now holds a master's degree in education as a reading specialist. Currently, Laura works as the English Content Coordinator for a Virginia school district.
Browning lives on a small farm with her husband where they have dairy goats and bees. When she's not writing, Laura enjoys reading, photography, gardening, and playing with her grandsons.
