Kay Pritchett

Kay Pritchett was born and bred in Greenville, Mississippi, and attended Millsaps College in Jackson. She completed her education at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she received her doctorate in Spanish Literature. After a long stint in Spain, she accepted an offer at the University of Arkansas and, at retirement in 2016, delved fully into fiction writing. Murder in High Cotton, inspired by childhood memories of the Delta, anthologizes her first short mystery novels. The Summer House at Larkspur, which is the second volume in the Mosey Frye Mysteries Series, is her first full-length novel. She lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas, with her husband Christopher J. Huggard.
