Mary Mallory

Mary Mallory is a film historian, archivist, and researcher, focusing on Los Angeles and early film history. She has written for such publications as American History magazine, Noir City magazine, Toluca Lake magazine, San Francisco Silent Film Festival, and the Women Film Pioneer's Project and blogs for the LA Daily Mirror. Mallory serves as a docent for the Hollywood Heritage Museum, creating exhibits, and giving presentations. As a member of the Studio City Neighborhood Council's Cultural Affairs Committee, she produced the events, "Mack Sennett and the Birth of Studio City," "80th Anniversary of Republic Pictures," and "50th Anniversary Celebration of CBS Radford Studios," and helped produce the 75th Anniversary Celebration of Republic Pictures. She has given live and online presentations on a variety of historical topics for Poster House, Hollywood Heritage Museum, Pasadena Museum of History, Studio City Neighborhood Council, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Egyptian Theatre, Book Soup, and 12 Los Angeles public library branches.
