I am German and have been living in Brazil since shortly after the turn of the millennium. At that time a rethinking had become necessary and Brazil gave me this time of reorientation. I certainly had to give up my accustomed standard of living, but in favor of a better quality of life.

Finding the perfect place to stay in this big country seemed like a mammoth task at first, but since I got to know Búzios, this little peninsula 175 kilometers from Rio de Janeiro, I have found my paradise and put down roots.

"A house is not a home until little children scream in it." So, at almost 60 years old, I have become a father once again and am experiencing the growing up of my little son very intensely.

Anthony Kaye once said to me, "You have to write a series of bad books before you get a good book down, and you have to write a series of good books before you get an excellent book down. I hope to be out of the series of bad books by now. The reader will have to judge.

If there is another passion in my life, it is definitely the Schlaraffia Rio-Carioca.

One may think complicatedly, but one should not write complicatedly, so I hold it with my fictions, with my novels and also with my non-fiction books. The inclined reader should be able to understand my concerns without an additional dictionary. If my books can contribute to clarification and conflict avoidance in the respective subject matter, my goal has already been achieved.

Maybe it will never be enough to become a bestseller, but who knows. I still enjoy writing, researching and implementing.
