Sylvia Green Chatman

Need inspiration in your life? Sylvia Green Chatman is the woman for the mission. Endowed with the gift of creative communication, she utilizes poetry, graphic design, music, and speech to make a difference in the world. In her poem, "A Single Lifetime," she states, "If I can manage to influence someone, a significant deed, I shall have done."

Sylvia has penned inspirational and religious verse for family, friends, and others for almost 20 years. Her poems also appear in three anthologies: Gumbo for the Soul—Recipe for Literacy, Gumbo for the Soul—Women of Honor Special Pink Edition and Gumbo for the Soul—Men of Honor Cancer Awareness Issue. She commenced writing poetry in her late teens when she accepted God into her life and stopped composing secular rap lyrics. Sylvia has since used her gift to uplift.
