K.M. Walton

K.M. Walton is the award-winning author of the contemporary YA novels Cracked, Empty, and Ultimatum. Each standalone novel shines light on the hideous effects of bullying. She has a new paranormal YA novel titled Portal releasing in the UK on February 23, 2027, and in the US on March 2, 2027. Safety in Lies (contemporary thriller YA) releases fall 2027, Lassberry Remonade (contemporary MG) releases summer 2028, and Girl in Progress (contemporary YA) releases summer 2029. She edited and contributed to her music-focused YA anthology, Behind the Song and co-authored Teaching Numeracy: 9 Critical Habits to Ignite Mathematical Thinking for mathematics teachers K - 8. She graduated from West Chester University with a degree in elementary education and spent most of her teaching career in middle school teaching language arts. K.M. is a seasoned public speaker who has presented to thousands since her debut novel released in 2012. She gives school presentations and keynotes, runs workshops and panels—elementary school through university level. She’s also a self-taught abstract painter with an emphasis on layers and texture. K.M. and her husband live in Chester County, PA where they raised two incredible sons who have left the nest. Now they are the proud parents of a spectacular golden retriever named Moxie.
