Vilmos Kondor

Vilmos Kondor was born in Hungary in 1954. He studied in Szeged and later in Paris, where he earned a degree in chemical engineering at the Sorbonne. After completing his studies, he returned to Hungary.

He currently teaches mathematics and physics at a high school. His first novel, Budapest Noir, was published in Hungary in 2008. Its protagonist, journalist Zsigmond Gordon, appears in seven novels in the eponymous series.

Kondor lives with his wife and two daughters in a small village near Sopron. He rarely gives interviews and enjoys baking.
