Robert Medina

Robert Medina was born in Kansas and moved to New Orleans at a very young age. Following his service in the Navy, Robert held a series of jobs including a stint in the rock and roll business as a roadie. Needing a more stable work environment, Robert joined the New Orleans Fire Department. While there, he also attended Delgado College and graduated with a Degree in Science. Robert spent 24 years on the department and retired in 2001. Since then, he has published a book of poetry entitled "Freefall" in addition to "If You Can't Stand the Heat...A New Orleans Firefighter's Cookbook."

Robert is also owner of Fireitup Foods LLC offering "New Orleans Original Firehouse Flashover Creole Seasoning" blend for purchase.

Robert has been married since 1988 to his wife Lori. He now resides in one of his favorite vacation spots - Destin, Florida. Luckily, it is a short distance to New Orleans so that he is able go back frequently to enjoy everything the city has to offer.
