Diana Senechal is the 2011 winner of the Hiett Prize in the Humanities and the author of Republic of Noise: The Loss of Solitude in Schools and Culture (2011) and Mind over Memes: Passive Listening, Toxic Talk, and Other Modern Language Follies (October 2018), as well as numerous poems, stories, translations, and essays. Her translation of Gyula Jenei's 2018 poetry collection Mindig más (Always Different) was published by Deep Vellum in 2022. In March 2022, she and the ALSCW hosted an international event on János Pilinszky and his influence (www.straightlabyrinth.info), featuring special guests Csenger Kertai, Gergely Balla, and Sebestyén Czakó-Kuraly.
