Raised in a farming family, Julian Slatcher has had a varied career in farming, forestry, engineering and retail as well as pathology. His first novel was completed by the age of 18 and five further novels served to hone his technique before his first non-fiction commission. Then came Gardening With Wild Plants, published in 2000, which he wrote and photographed throughout Britain. He has since had two further gardening books and a novel published and a new edition of Gardening With Wild Plants was released in February 2012.
Widdowed at 33, he has travelled widely across Africa, Europe and in south America. He now divides his time between writing, photography and working in Biomedical Science. He lives in a village in north Oxfordshire, England, and is currently working on his next novel. For more go to https://sites.google.com/site/jrslatcher/home
