Rev. Dr. Alan L. Andraeas is an ordained priest in the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA); a conservative, evangelical Anglo-Catholic communion in the wider Anglican tradition. He was also for many years an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God. He was a Navy Religious Program Specialist for 6 years and a Navy chaplain for 21 years. He is currently the Father Prior of Saint Brendan's Monastic Retreat Community and the Monastic Fellowship of Saint Brendan's, an ecumenical fellowship that introduces Christians from a variety of denominations and communions to intentional faith through the practice of ancient monastic disciplines. Saint Brendan's is also the home of Holy Trinity Chapel which a small group of local residents now consider to be their home church. He received his Bachelor of Science from Valley Forge Christian College, Phoenixville, PA; his Master of Divinity from Ashland Theological Seminary, Ashland, OH; his Doctor of Theology from Biblical Life College & Seminary, Marshfield, MO; and his Doctor of Ministry through the seminary of Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA. Fr. Alan and his wife, Sue, make their life on a small homestead in coastal Maine where they raise donkeys, dairy goats, chickens, and turkeys with the desire to master many of the early, hands-on 'peasant skills' of sustainable living. These skills include carpentry, fiber spinning, fabrication of artisan goat cheeses, animal husbandry, gardening, viticulture, and food preservation.
