Hi, I'm Matt, and I've been writing fiction and nonfiction since the 1980s.

I work in many genres of fiction, including urban fantasy, YA, literary fiction, horror, and romance (writing as MJ Post).

I'm also the host of the YouTube channel for writers, The School of Fiction, where I interview writers and other industry professionals and give fiction writing craft lessons.

Coming July 2026, I'll be launching my new adult urban fantasy series with Mrs. Moore #1: Queen of Doubts.
