Phyllis Johnston

Phyllis Johnston began her writing career as editor of Mrs. Demby’s second grade class newspaper. She took another shot at journalism as co-founder and editor of Senior Bostonian, the first independent newspaper for the 55+ crowd in metropolitan Boston. Realizing the need to generate actual income, she began a 25-year career as a strategic communications consultant. Along the way she wrote articles for technical and consumer publications. Luckily, she got the opportunity to spend a year in London and took to writing a daily diary that morphed into her e-book Sufferin’ London. An excerpt from the memoir was selected for inclusion in the anthology A Matter of Choice published by Seal Press, an imprint of Avalon Publishing Group.
