EVANDRO SANTOS

Dr. Cardoso dos Santos, Brazilian born, holds the following degrees: BS in Architecture and Urban Planning; MS in Urban Transportation Planning; Ph.D. in Transportation Engineer; and Post-Doctoral in Transportation Planning from the University of California at Berkeley, USA. He is Professor of Transportation Planning and Urban Design at Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the Jackson State University, Jackson, Mississippi, USA having several articles published in Brazil and abroad. The book “Curitiba, Brazil: pioneering in developing Bus Rapid Transit and urban planning solutions” by Lambert Academic Publishing published in 2011, the book’s chapter “Urban Freight Planning” for the book “Urban Freight Logistic Management” by the Atlas Publishing Company São Paulo, Brazil published in 2001, and the chapter “Curitiba, Brazil: systems planning pioneer” for the ICMA Greenbook, International City County Management Association Philadelphia, PA, USA published in 2009. His professional experience includes the accomplishment of worldwide planning and projects in Urban Planning and Transportation coalition.
