David Raterman

National Geographic and Knopf travel author David Raterman worked two years for CARE in war-torn Tajikistan along the Afghanistan border. A longtime features correspondent for the South Florida Sun Sentinel, his first novel, THE RIVER PANJ, is a thriller that opens on 9/11 in Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

Raterman also researched, wrote, and narrated THE PINK MOON MURDERS, a 2022 true crime podcast limited series about the murders of eight members of the Rhoden family in rural, Appalachian Ohio one night in 2016. Presented by Cavalry Audio and iHeart, it debuted at #12 on Apple Podcasts.
