Thomas Burchfield

I was born in New York and now live in Northern California. My debut novel DRAGON'S ARK (Ambler House Publishing; available in paperback and Kindle), a contemporary Dracula tale, has won three awards in 2012: the Bronze Medal (Second Place) for Horror Fiction in the Independent Book Publishers Association Award(IPPY); Best Horror Novel in the National Indie Excellence Book Awards (NIEA); and Runner-Up for Horror Novel at the Halloween Book Festival Awards. I have also published two original screenplays, WHACKERS and THE UGLIES as Kindle e-books under the Ambler House imprint. I am currently working on his next novel, the 1920s gangster thriller BUTCHERTOWN, due out next year. I post a weekly column on books, film, travel, and humor at my webpage A CURIOUS MAN. Outside the world of reading and writing, I like movies, hiking, single malt scotch, beer at my local bars, horse racing, cooking, and strolling around my lovely Oakland neighborhood with my wife, Elizabeth.
