Linda Hamner

I've been a writer my whole professional life: everything from a technical writer to a TV writer. I was lucky enough to win an Emmy for my work on the daytime serial SANTA BARBARA. As "the soaps" dried up, so did work. With a fellow TV/film writer, L. Virginia Browne, we wrote the fluffy, funny little book, LETTERS FROM CLEO AND TYRONE (St. Martin's Press), about two cats who email each other. I've also worked as a writing instructor at UCLA, the Television Corporation of Singapore (where I also served as script consultant), and Linn-Benton Community College (Corvallis, OR).

My husband, Gary, and I moved to a wee town near Corvallis, Oregon. We love it here. It's quite a different lifestyle than Hollywood, CA.

Here in Oregon, with the help of some kind, savvy writers, I was able to complete BOOBS OVER HOLLYWOOD, a humorous novel set in the wacky world of reality TV. It is now available through Amazon both as a Kindle book and a paperback.

Since publication of the book, I've been concentrating on writing humorous essays. So far, I've been published in CALYX and the OREGON ENGLISH JOURNAL.
