She began her career as a teacher, became a programmer / computer analyst, and returned to the world of education in the early eighties, using technology to design student-driven, differentiated learning environments. She launched her first consulting company, Compuco, Inc. in 1987 (because some guy by the name of Steve Jobs had already taken her first choice, "Next, Inc." two weeks prior). Compuco, Inc. designed custom applications for businesses and, later, provided web design services. In 1997, she launched IDE Corp. -- Innovative Designs for Education. She holds a B.A. in education from FDU, an M.A. in computer science from Montclair State University, and an Ed.D. in educational administration from Fordham.
