Tony Thomson

Tony Thomson is an American but went from Yale to Oxford and spent his working life in London. He is the author of four books. Eat Your Heart Out, Ho Chi Minh or Things You Won't Learn at Yale is a memoir of war and college in the 1960's.

In 1971 Tony drove from London to India and back in a VW Bus. After surviving this, he and his English passenger, Alyson, thought it would be safe to marry. Today they have three children, six grandchildren, two Labradors and live in rural Connecticut, surrounded by beavers and bears. This journey of a lifetime is described in Love, Fate and Afghanistan.

Tony also published two novels - Trust Fund Kids and Meltdown at North Fork - about a peculiar and totally fictional town in Connecticut - North Fork - where the mayor is gay but not like your mother's hairdresser - where people do and say things we aren't supposed to do and say - and especially not to laugh at.
