Don Wooldridge

Prolific writer, Don Wooldridge brings his creative energies once more to the forefront, writing of issues that exist within our country; issues he addresses from a humane and valiant perspective. His new release, "Broken Dreams," is a reaction to our news media's focus on head counts of "dead by terrorist attack," while brushing off survivors a "non-life threatening injuries."

In his Trilogy: "The Secrets of Clayton County," Don offers a perspective, different than the Government holds, about bartering. He postures it as more of a culture than a tax evasion tactic. Deeply loyal to family and friendships, Wooldridge was led to carry on the writings of others in Bible Moments and Yankee Settlement. Don boldly and courageously seeks to change the nation’s perspective on living with Bipolar 2 disorder in his memoir, "Fear is My Co-Pilot."

Each of Don’s books is written from a genuine sense of knowing the community. Born and raised in Davenport, Iowa, he lived in the Mississippi River Valley for over 30 years and remembers the people of the small river communities, and shares their faith that small town values and lifestyle will be everlasting.

Don’s education spans from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas to Rutgers University in Brunswick, New Jersey. An accomplished writer, he spent 30 years in the technical training and development arena, as a technical writer, instructional designer, and interactive learning systems designer and producer. Wooldridge’s career had taken him to all 50 US states and Canada, as well as England, France, Germany, Mexico, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Texas.

Today, Don enjoys using his writing as a vehicle for readers to look at the world around them with more perspective, empathy and understanding. He cannot escape his quick humor as it pops up in the many manuscripts he has penned—readers are enriched by it! Writing novels inspired by his heritage and the communities around him, Don always welcomes the opportunity to speak about the varied topics his books cover, and his journey as an author.
