Dr. Kimberly Allison was the Director of Breast Pathology at the University of Washington Medical Center/Seattle Cancer Care Alliance when, in 2008, at the age of 33, she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer shortly after giving birth to her second child. Red Sunshine is the story of her personal journey from breast cancer specialist to patient, where she shares all the intimate details of her experience from diagnosis through a year of treatment. Dr Allison continues to work today in breast cancer research, diagnostics and in patient outreach to those newly diagnosed. When not chasing her two children and husband around, she enjoys writing, running, painting, yoga and double tall lattes. She is currently the Director of Breast Pathology at Stanford University Medical Center. https://www.facebook.com/RedSunshineKim/
