I am a physician, specialized in endocrinology (the conditions involving hormones and the endocrine glands). After 40 years of practice, research and teaching in Australia and Europe, I am now retired, but not that you would notice ! I have always enjoyed writing about my specialty (see my books), but have now decided to look at the concept of the biographical novel: a way of bringing to life people from the past in a way which adds dynamism to history. My first 'target' was the great French medical scientist, Claude Bernard. And the future.......?
