Robert Hammitt

Robert (Rob) Hammitt was born in Florida and his family moved to O'Fallon, Il when he was five years old. His military father was transferred to Texas when Rob turned 9, and there he stayed as he finished his education at Texas State University (formally called Southwest Texas State University). Rob and his wife Carrie moved their 3 children to Colorado in 1999 and there they enjoy all the beauty the state has to offer.

Rob had the idea for the basic premise of Living With Interest: Indian Summer, in 2005 - soon after his father passed on. When he took his family to Europe in 2006,everyone agreed that there were days on their trip that they would love to bank and use later in life. Sharing this experience with his family reinforced Rob's faith that this premise had merit and would make a great book, and possibly a movie one day. The Great-Recession provided Rob time to create Indian Summer. It took about 9 months to have a solid first draft and another 6 months complete editing. Rob is currently in the edit phase of his next book: Indian Summer: Winter's Reprieve.
