Bill Getz

Bill Getz is a retired military officer, industry and civil government executive. Bill is also a decorated combat veteran in both four-engine bombers and single-engine fighters. Bill has written seven novels available from AMAZON BOOKS: (1) DOUBLE EAGLES, an unusual World War II spy story; (2) MONGOLS AT THE GATES, story of a 14-year old physician’s apprentice in 13th Century China during the Mongol invasion; (3) SARAH: a tale of timeless love that transcends war, life and time; (4) OUT OF NOWHERE, the first attack upon the United States by intercontinental ballistic missiles from an unknown location, ; (5) GARDENS OF THE GODS, controversial examination of death by university researchers that shakes the foundation of current understanding in the scientific community; (6) MY INVISIBLE ME, story of bizarre biological twins, previously unknown to science, whose difference became an effective tool in World War II and post-war life proving that “nature doesn’t always get it right;" (7) HOLY SLEUTH, a Catholic priest who is also a former cop, investigates the brutal murder in 1935 of four teenage prostitutes and their pimp that leads to mob connections and international intrigue. Bill Getz is also the publisher and editor of the two volume anthology, THE WILD BLUE YONDER: SONGS OF THE AIR FORCE, over 1000 songs from WWI through post-Vietnam, with introductions by General J. H. "Jimmy" Doolittle, and Brigadier General Robin Olds. Bill has authored and co-authored non-fiction books, and has many published articles in leading journals. Bill and his wife, Vicki, live in Northern California. On December 31, 2012, he was appointed a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor by President Hollande of France.
