Danielle Ramsay

Danielle Ramsay is a Scottish author of crime fiction and psychological thrillers. Her latest psychological thriller, The Caller, will be published on 31 January 2027.

Her standalone thrillers include The Perfect Husband, My Best Friend's Secret, The Other Wife and Taken.

Before writing psychological thrillers, Danielle wrote police procedurals. Her debut, Broken Silence, was shortlisted for the Debut Dagger and chosen for a Northern Writers' Award. It was the first in five DI Jack Brady crime novels set in a small seaside resort in the North East of England. She also wrote The Last Cut, a dark police thriller featuring DS Harri Jacobs.

After completing a Degree in Media Production and pursuing an academic career in literature, Danielle began to write creatively full-time.

When she isn't writing, she enjoys wild water swimming, running, and beach walks with her Westie. She is also the Patron of SomeOne Cares, a charity supporting survivors of domestic violence, rape and child abuse.
