Randy Turner is a former eighth grade English teacher and a long time award-winning newspaper reporter and editor in southwest Missouri.
Turner's latest book is When Jesse James Came to Pineville. His other non-fiction books include the 10th anniversary edition of 5:41: Stories from the Joplin Tornado (co-authored with John Hacker), Justice for Rowan Ford, The Buck Starts Here: Harry S. Truman and the City of Lamar, Silver Lining in a Funnel Cloud: Greed, Corruption and the Joplin Tornado and Running Circles Around the Globe: 20 Years of the Turner Report.
Turner, a Joplin, Missouri resident, has written three novels- Small Town News, Devil's Messenger and No Child Left Alive, and is the author of the popular blogs, The Turner Report and Inside Joplin.
