Born in Selma, Alabama, in the early 1950s, I developed a passion for reading and writing when my mother taught me to read at age three. I devoured books, keeping her busy ensuring I always had something new to explore. Today, I’m still an avid reader, diving into books, online articles, or research to ensure historical accuracy in my writing.
As a Worship Leader, Musician and Pastor, my life’s path led to writing my first book, Walking Backwards. My journey has been a tapestry of challenges, triumphs, and growth—each moment shaping who I am. Isn’t that the essence of life? A journey through experiences that mold us?
My books blend elements of my own life with fiction that champions strong moral character, featuring definitive heroes and heroines. I’m deeply grateful for my wife, Vicki, a steadfast partner in life and ministry, and for our children, who’ve taught me countless lessons through God’s grace. I wouldn’t trade them for anything.
