Jools is a prolific ghost writer of memoir, writing over forty books for clients in the last ten years, mostly memoir, some children's. When she's not writing, she's out having adventures with the women's group - She Who Dares. The second edition of their handbook is out now, on Amazon. She won the Wasafiri International Life Writing Prize which led to development with the Literary Consultancy and the mentorship of Kerry Hudson and the resulting novel, Girl in the Mirror. She writes stories long and short for adults and children and is published by Mslexia, Wasafiri, Troubador, The Bish, Walker books and Hungry Tomato. Her stories have been performed at the Word Factory, London, Soho Theatre, and locally. Jools has an MA in creative writing from Birkbeck where Michael Rosen was her tutor, she writes freelance for national websites, local press and has written screenplays, one performed by Rupert Graves. She runs workshops on Life Writing and is a Reading Hero for The Reader. She used to be a teacher in primary and forest school, worked in independent cinema and the arts and at heritage sites.
