With a fascination for both scientific and religious concepts, history and science fiction, not to mention nature and the arts, I love stories that combine many of these elements within a good read and make me ponder what it means to be alive. These fascinations inspired me to fulfill my biggest life goal since I first began to learn to write -- finishing my first novel. Many thanks to my agent Ken Atchity and editor Sarah Cypher and all those who helped with editing and suggestions and inspiration.

The Books of Adam explore humanity's evolution over the coming century through the lens of a family drama. It's inspired by such works as Frankenstein, Brave New World, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Philip K. Dick's writings. Other favorite authors include Kurt Vonnegut, C. S. Lewis, and Madeleine L'Engle.

I grew up and have spent most of my life in California (mostly San Diego), but have also lived in New York City and Northern Arizona. My BA in History is from San Diego State, but I'm an avid reader of many subjects and types of novels. I'm the founder of National Youth Arts and review youth theatre, nice people and hot fudge sundaes make me glad to be alive, and I have a double-thumb.
