Lewis A. White

Lew White is a fourth generation descendant of Azorean immigrants from the islands of Sao Miguel and Pico. He attended public schools in Falmouth, Massachusetts and graduated from Northeastern University in Boston where he studied physics and mathematics, co-oping at MIT's Synchrotron Laboratory and NASA's Electronic Research Center. For over 30 years he conceived, built, delivered and taught simple solutions to complex problems for the newspaper, telephony, word processing, electronic design, affinity marketing, custom mass manufacturing, and signmaking industries. During this time he also did postgraduate work at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, taught computer technology at Hesser College, and was the editor of the fourth draft of GCA's revolutionary GenCode, which evolved to today's HTML commonly used to create most web pages.

Lew has applied his experience "providing simple solutions to complex problems" to create the "forty basic truths that may be applied to common situations" in Texas Hold'em Proverbs.

His second book, "Sopas - A brief history of Portuguese islanders, the Cape Cod town of Falmouth, and the Feast of the Holy Ghost", is rooted in childhood experiences, a lifetime of oral histories, years of cooking at the festa, and personal studies of published and unpublished sources.
