William Secor

The author is a Ph.D. psychologist with a degree in Health Psychology. His degree was in the field of Stress and PTSD as it affects professional emergency medical personnel. He has taught in the elementary through post-secondary school levels for many years and he has also been a human services worker, working with the Juvenile Court System and DCF in Connecticut, and hospitals and psychiatric settings. He was a Group Leader with the first AmeriCorps Project in the United States, "Project First", in Charlotte, NC (a consortium of IBM and the Charlotte Educational System) where he conducted research on the delivery of the science curriculus (environmental science). The research was presented on NPR's Afternoon Edition in Charlotte, NC. He has been a researcher for a number of years, often working with many abused children and adults, which experiences influenced the writing of this book. He has taught biology, anatomy and physiology, college mathematics, kinesiology, and social statistics. He has worked with students from diverse racial, ethnic, religious, cultural and national populations. He has and is presently completing research in the human health field, specifically the American epidemic and crisis in obesity, especially as it affects children. He is presently writing another book, a psychological mystery, a work of fiction. He is a member of Mensa and a Mason. He lives in New Hampshire
