Ron Jackson

I'm an old but adventurous guy. Born in Denver Colorado in 1935 I waited until the ripe old age of 19 before finding my lifetime love, Ella in Yosemite National Park. I was first an air traffic controller in Alaska, then an Allstate Insurance agent in Denver before buying an old primitive fishing camp on the shores of Lake San Cristobal in Colorado. With the help of our four sons, we converted this old fishing camp into a year-round destination resort. We featured, fishing, mountain climbs to fourteen thousand foot peaks, and developed the first cross country heliskiing destination in the country. Many magazine articles featured our outdoor activities. Later, living a more leisurely life, I regressed to converting an old hobby into a profession. We traveled in a fifth wheel travel trailer and shot pics for hotels, dude ranches, and mountain resorts. At 70, Ella and I retired to Ajijic Mexico where we lived for 8 years. Alzheimer's invaded our lives while in Mexico and we returned to the states for medical reasons in 2014. It was in Mexico when I first became an accidental author and wrote my first book.

"The Secret of Golconda" the adventure of raising 4 sons and building a resort. Next came "Love and Redemption, Tacos and Tortillas" The adventure of two of my Mexican friends, Salvador and Marie. After writing that, I was hooked on writing but hated the editing. The last two books I've written, one co-authored by Rev.Dr. Rob Morrison, called "Angels in Dark Places" CNAs dealing with Love, Life, Death, and Diapers" the other released in June 2019, " Alzheimer's, A Love Story" These last two books have been written as personal missions. I wanted to spotlight the great stories of CNAs and their dedication to caring for people

CNAs certified nurses assistants need help. Alzheimer's is a cruel disease and the last book was written to help anyone, caregivers and patients live a more rewarding life.
