Marla Bentley

Marla Bentley (1964- ), born and raised in Barrie, Ontario, Canada began teaching English in Cordoba, Spain in 1986. The lack of accessible and practical material led her to develop her own method of language teaching based on brain friendly techniques and natural language acquisition which in turn led her to writing educational material for various, leading ELT publishing houses such as Richmond-Santillana Publishing, Cambridge University Press, Dayton University Press, etc. She has recently returned to Canada and currently continues to write for the English Language Learning community as well as for children with short stories, course books, web quests and other non-ELT publications. Her love of communication and the written word keep her well grounded in the literary world.
