I’ve been writing under the pen name, K. Lorraine since 2011. My favorite type of books to write are Romance/murder. I also dabble in Science Fiction, Adventure, Poetry, humor/satire and children’s stories.
My interest in writing started in middle school. Throughout my grade school years, I won several writing contests. I'm a college graduate. I earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, in Midland, Michigan. I also have a degree in Art Design from Ferris State College, Grand Rapids, MI. I studied Floral Design in Miami, Florida.
I am an experienced State & Federal grant writer. I learned this skill as the Director for a New Mexico non-profit. Once upon a time, I held the position of Public Relations Officer for a Michigan & Florida non-profit.
My first published book was in 2011. I wrote the short story, Next Generation: Love in Silence. The plot is about an alien who falls in love with a human girl. The story has a Romeo & Juliette story line twist. The book came out at the 2011 Roswell, NM., Alien Festival. I’m self-published through Createspace and my books are also available on Amazon Kindle. I am a recognized FanStory author. I joined the group of thousands of writers in 2014. I've written over one hundred ‘five star’ short stories. I've received seven ‘First Place’ wins, and many second place prize winning awards. I have also achieved many third place and ‘Recognized wins,’ for my work.

My husband Ed, and I live in Roswell, New Mexico. We married twenty-five, plus years ago. We have a blended family of five children and six grandchildren.
