Julian Caldecott

Julian Caldecott was raised in London by the novelist & poet Moyra Caldecott and the publisher & artist Oliver Caldecott. He fell in love with natural history, African wildlife and badgers as a child, studied biology at Southampton and tropical rainforest monkeys for his PhD at Cambridge. Then he did wildlife management and national parks in Borneo and Nigeria before consulting on biodiversity conservation and climate change around the world. Since 2000 he has led studies of government aid programmes, and written books on the dawning Anthropocene era - the Age of Humankind - and how we can cope with global change while saving and restoring the biosphere.
