Etienne de Mendes enjoys revealing to readers the adventures and misdeeds of Erik, the Phantom of the Opera. A first Gothic Horror / Erotica novel, "The Return of the Phantom", was published in 2007. This book was followed by the sequels, "The Season of the Witch" and "The Tale of the Bloodline". Published on April 9th of 2012, the most recent installation of the series, "The Disciples of the Night", sees Erik entering present day Iran to obtain and remove Prince Khusrowshah's stolen treasure. "The Theater of the Lost" stands next in the lineup and the author works on its manuscript almost daily. "The Concert of the Mysteries" will follow. After that...who knows? General thoughts for this sixth novel are being accumulated as the fifth segment is written. De Mendes has a medical background in trauma and abnormal psychology, taught for a number of years, and has written numerous articles and short stories.
