Pam Allen

In one way or another, Pam has been involved in education all her adult life: she has worked in high school and higher education administration, substitute-taught preschool classes and high school French and math classes, taught undergraduate and graduate school French classes, and taught a third-fourth grade class for a year. For the last fifteen years, she has been a private tutor, and although she tutors a number of other subjects, a large part of that tutoring time she has been working with students on SAT and ACT preparation.

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in French Literature from Pomona College and a Master of Arts degree in French Civilization from the University of California at Riverside. She worked for Pomona College as an Assistant Dean of Admissions for three years when she first graduated from there. She was a stay-at-home mom with her two sons and had many opportunities to volunteer in their classrooms over the years. She began tutoring SAT and ACT after her second son was in high school. After she and her husband moved to Boulder, Colorado in 2001, she ran a volunteer tutoring program at Boulder High School for four years and then began her own thriving practice there.
