Danilo Pungertnik is a specialist in information and business management. He holds a Master of Science in economics and information management, an MBA and a degree in computer science. Working on management, training and expert positions in educational-, computer-, financial- and engineering environment and workgroups, he has had many opportunities in the last fifteen years of his career to manage people and observe all kinds of behaviors in stressful situations coming from time pressures and fast modern life style. But his biggest challenge was managing himself in time- and anti-stress management. Speed of modern life, deadlines, balancing his work and family life, put him into a harried life thrusting him on a fast treadmill with no exit or resting zones… He discovered that just thinking positively is not enough and theories from management books are mostly just theories that do not help people change their lives in any meaningful way. That is why the author has developed his own technique to reduce everyday stressful situations at work or at home and simplify his life, making more space for personal progress. His education, work experiences and his “professional deformation” of structure-oriented mentality were a great background to develop a technique from a simple idea; a need of overtaking the complexities of the world in order to make space to breathe and enjoy life. He realized that the simplicity of his idea could help many people as well. He utilized a simpler language form with the intention of reaching modern people of all kinds - with at least some education - to understand models described in the various case histories.
As a husband and a father of two teenagers and as an information manager at work he represents many people in modern society. By finding and using his way of self management he is enjoying his life more and more. He hopes his readers can do so, too.
