Bonnie Stanard grew up in South Carolina on a farm near the North Edisto River. After college, she became an English teacher and married a Navy Lieutenant in Virginia Beach. She has edited periodicals in places where she has lived, including Atlanta, Richmond, Lexington County, SC, and Brussels, Belgium. Though she has traveled far from the farm in South Carolina where she grew up, she often returns to it in her writing. Her work includes historical fiction novels, short stories, poetry, and children’s books.
She's a member of the Author's Guild, Women's Fiction Writers Association, and the SC Writers Association.
