Roger Price

I've been writing for more years than I care to remember. The earliest my stories were recognised was when I won the 'Well Tried' prize in the Cadbury's Creative Writing competition when at Junior School - that'll be in about 1956 I'm afraid to say! Since then most of my writing has been for me. However, more recently I have written voice overs for documentaries produced by Cromwell Productions of Stratford Upon Avon, England and several pieces of drama. These include a major piece of steet theatre for the civic celebrations of Saint George's Day in Coventry, England and a fresh look at all the parables that Jesus used as teaching aids in a single show called, imaginatively, 'Parables'. However, between 1987 and 2005, most of my creative writing was the plot lines for the many adventure experiences run by the business in which I was a partner - The Portly Pixie. It is one of those stoires that has formed the basis for the first of a series of novels in 'Of Cabbages and Kings'. It is also where my stage name for my performance work - Rogo of Sham (rogoofsham) - comes from. Much of what you will read in 'Tales From 'The Portly Pixie'' really happened - all be in in the controlled environment of our fanatsy adventure centre!
